It's All About the Data

Below is some of the more interesting data aspects that can be targeted with a Cubeia GEM installation. 

Live Data Feeds

Every users performance is tracked in real time and saved to a persistent storage. This includes avarage rake, hands won and lost, and tournament performance. This includudes detecting a loosing streak and the ability to flag such players in the operators CEM application. 

Campaigns and Control Groups

Each connected operator may tag a client with one or more free-form identifiers, for campaign groups, regional location, VIP status etc. This tag can be used by GEM to compare the relative performance for a given group against a control group in real time. 

Tournament and Freeroll Retainment

One of the maor goals of freerolls and tournaments is to attract players to the real money games. Using Cubeia GEM the retention ratio for individual players and control groups can be calculated.

Player Commitment

Using an amalgamation of data from a connected operator and from the network Cubeia GEM can give indications of commitment for single players.  When trimmed for a system this can give warnings for players with low commitment that are likely to leave the network. Using this data operators can pro-actively target such groups to increase the retainment in the system.

A Real-Time Business Intelligence Platform

Traditional business intelligence is usually performed over historical data and centers round the concept of data mining. As events are propagated through a system they are also written to a database, which can be queried and processed in retrospect to extract business data. However, for game systems, often the raw data generated each moment in the system is too large for traditional techniques.

Cubeia GEM is a member of the Cubeia product family centred around complex event processing, or CEP, designed to solve such problems.
